Embarking on a remarkable journey with the world's largest social platform, we joined forces with Facebook product teams to create captivating moments and enrich the experience of social discovery. Across multiple intensive design sprints, we experimented with various product moments, and designed and documented new features with a keen focus on interaction, motion and accessibility.
Our shared goal was to enhance the brand and product metrics related to usage, retention, and usefulness. In close collaboration with Facebook teams, we incorporated new experience patterns into their UI. We designed and tested numerous concepts, involving multiple stakeholder sessions to refine our options for user testing.
User interaction and motion were central to this project, not mere afterthoughts. For each concept, we explored various user-controlled interactions, motion that seamlessly blend into the user's journey and meaningful distractions to introduce new features or suggest onward journeys.
